Michael Kenna
One photographer I am deeply inspired by is Michael Kenna, an artist who is most well known for his landscape photography. I think I am drawn to his work because when looking at some of his pictures I see many similarities between his work and mine. For example, he tends to photograph objects at a dramatic angle, a technique that pulls the viewer's eye into the image (ex. the photograph to the right). When looking back on my work this is something that I also tended to do, especially when photographing outdoors. Kenna's pictures are also known for being high contrast images that create a very eerie and dramatic mood, and I love it.
